tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow
Chloe Ho
the world ends and ends
again, everyday, yet i am still
breathing. all sky has cracked
clean in two, wide as a heart
beat, all smoke and seraphim
hymning holy holy, all the
damn time. how many days
have bloodied us, how few
times have we truly lived
beyond breath? how thoughtless
this grace, how unbearable
this beginning and unbeginning.
my god, how i am not yet dead
but wounded and mortal, still
reaching, brave and vine-like
for one more tomorrow?
