Balanenoptera Musculus
Mackenzie King
My fridge has lived longer than some of my dogs. How is that fair? This house is older than some people. That pond is older than my entire generation. The geese over there are probably younger than me though. I think my dog will reincarnate as a goose, like the ones he used to chase. And he will cower and swim when he sees a giant domesticated wolf heading for his feathers. A taste of his own medicine.
Realistically, if I were to reincarnate as something I’d pick a blue whale. They live long, and rule the ocean. A shark sounds nice too. Then I could be ferocious. A fish sounds terrible. I’d forget everything, and be someone’s dinner. But at least I’d forget what it felt like to be a meal.
