Sea Star Wasting Syndrome

Christina Lloyd

Ochre and sunflower stars display
the same lesions and decay.

Leather, bat, and mottled stars
follow suit. Robust bodies arched

against rock now serve up
severance; disembodied arms

rent from constellations.
Their massive die-off an event.
