House
Daniel Appleby
The blue sky
reminds me
of a house
at the end
of the street
forcing me to
remember the
holidays
from Florida to
Jamaica.
The crispy, clean
waves and the
neon-coloured accommodations,
all covered underneath
a simple pine tree
where childhood beginnings
transform into
sodden, inhospitable
tears. I love that house.
Like a crab, it hides forever.
