This cold December morning where
skeletal trees crane their heads up high.
Mourning, yet they are looking
for snowflakes in the sky.
These bright leaves litter the ground,
Fall never fails to be bold.
Birds are wailing all around,
I am walking on gold.

Norah is a painter, writer, and poet from New York City. Influenced by Emily Dickinson and Vladimir Nabokov, she crafts stream-of-consciousness poems and seasonal vignettes that function like small puzzles, inviting readers to inhabit shifting emotional and sensory landscapes. She studies Environment and Sustainability at Cornell University, where the tension between empirical thinking and imaginative work informs her creative process. Writing since the age of four, she brings a long-standing fascination with language, memory, and perception to each piece she makes, merging visual detail with the instincts of both an artist and observer.
