Crown Of Bones

Sandis Luttropp

A moment of recognition
Glimpses into the mind
Our past and our present
The current takes us
Where we will inevitably fall

Waves drown out the worries
As our blood is cleansed
Salt in the wounds we held
In my body and yours

Scars that are faded
Given to one another
As we begin again
A thousand years from now
Pieces of us washed ashore
Petrified and broken down
Into minuscule grains

Picked apart and built again
By hands digging their way
Between our bones
Forming us into fortresses
Carving out a home
We could never have

Sandis Luttropp
Sandis Luttropp is a poet and photographer whose work explores memory, longing, and the quiet intensity of human connection. Two of her poems have been published, and her photography has also appeared in published features, particularly within music and live performance spaces. Her writing often blends natural imagery with emotional vulnerability, creating pieces that feel intimate and atmospheric. Drawing inspiration from music, fleeting moments, and personal memory, her work moves between stillness and emotion, with a focus on subtle detail and feeling rather than statement.
